A volunteer application form shouldn’t feel like a test! But a few simple questions will help us if the applicant meets requirements. It should also give you an idea of why the applicant wants to volunteer with your MO, any experience they have with children or young people who are associated with Cancer and if they are interested in something specific coming from their volunteering (e.g. work experience to support a course of study). It will also be an opportunity for them to reflect on why they want to volunteer. You can also use the application form to request two referees.
